# About me

I'm a product builder, designer, manager and strategist.

My sweet spot is combining strategic leadership with high priority IC work across multiple disciplines and stakeholders to build and ship innovative technology products.

My methodology draws on Design Thinking, Product Management, User Research and Agile. I heavily use prototyping and storytelling, and I thrive in R&D initiatives with high ambiguity.

Most recently, I have helped build an enterprise B2B SaaS business for custom garment production from being the founding PM to leading all Prod-Dev.

Read on to learn about my work at Unmade, my side projects and previous clients.

# My career at Unmade

Global brands like New Balance, Ralph Lauren and Decathlon use Unmade to offer custom products with low MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities), short lead times and high RFT (Right First Time) production — reducing errors, rework and waste.

Editor

Unmade's configurator drives over 3000 different products. Over 6 million designs have been created with it. I led our product strategy focussed on customer growth and user experience.

2xCustomer activation & onboarding speed

I led and oversaw multiple projects with significant impact on customer activation and onboarding speed.

10xRecurring revenue through Product-Market Fit

I played a leading role in making the product work for the teamwear segment, resulting in significant revenue growth.

Customer Designs

Unmade creates manufacturing data for over 100,000 items per month. I led our roadmap to balance new features with scalability.

Factory

Unmade is integrated into over 17 global garment manufacturers. I've been to most of them to inform our factory product.

0->1Product development and R&D

I worked on most of the product from the ground up, from initial concept to launch and iterations.

AcquiredIn 2024

Unmade was acquired by Hi-Tech Apparel in 2024.

I was the founding PM, later Head of Product & Design and am now leading all product development. I've always been a player-coach, working as an IC on high priority projects while also leading teams.

My time at Unmade falls into 4 chapters:

1. Seed stage
Joining as founding PM driving 0 to 1 product discovery, R&D and design of the product.
2. Early customers
Building the product mangagement and prioritisation culture when we got the first enterprise customers.
3. PMF & Scaling
Scaling up a product & design function when we found PMF in the teamsports industry.
4. Acquisition
Working closely with the founders and leadership on the sale and subsequent integration of the business.

# UX for Internet of Things

When connected devices and the "Internet of Things" were in their infancy, Claire Rowland invited me to contribute to one of the first ever text books on how to design for this new class of products.

Drawing on my background in industrial design and my expertise in interaction design and UX I wrote two chapters focussed on providing the right methodologies and insights for successful and highly user-friendly products.

This is what the book looks like,
